Briarhills, located in the Energy Corridor between Highway 6 and N. Eldridge Parkway, just south of Buffalo Bayou, features a mix of single family homes with lot sizes from 7,100 square feet to 13,500 square feet and patio homes built in the late ‘70s, ‘80s, and early ‘90s.  Architectural styles alternate between traditional and contemporary with 3 to 4 bedrooms.  Students are zoned to Houston Independent School District with all schools located within walking distance of the subdivision including the sought after Barbara Bush Elementary.

Briarhills has both a property owner’s association and a homeowner’s association with adjacent Meadowbriar and Oaks of Parkway subdivisions.

The combined associations offer a variety of amenities to residents, including a clubhouse, tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pool and playing fields, all of which border Buffalo Bayou and the hike and bike trails of picturesque Terry Hershey Park.  The community also has the youth Briarhills Dolphins Swim Team.   Briarhills has an interactive website, Briarhills.org, and publishes The Briar Beat, a monthly newsletter.  Through the involvement of homeowner volunteers and the board, neighborhood activities such as a 4th of July Parade and picnic, Briarhills Market Festival, and movie nights are current events with more to come.

For those taking advantage of employment opportunities within the Energy Corridor, Briarhills provides a short commute.  There is an abundance of shopping and dining options.  In addition to Terry Hershey Park, George Bush Park is just across Hwy 6, offering easy accessible hike and bike trails, a dog park, shooting range, model airplane park, and archery range.
